Resumo: O crescimento do setor serviços no Brasil é evidente principalmente diante das mudanças de hábitos e costumes da população mundial nas últimas décadas. Afora a discussão da classificação, as especificidades do setor serviços se estendem para questões como sua heterogeneidade, sua dinâmica e suas problemáticas de mensuração. O presente trabalho teve por objetivo compreender a relevância do setor serviços na economia brasileira não apenas no quesito participação no emprego, na renda, nos investimentos externos e exportações, como também por meio das interações que esse setor mantém com o restante da economia. Para tanto foi utilizada a teoria de insumo-produto que permitiu o cálculo de indicadores como multiplicadores de produção, capacidade de geração de emprego e renda, índices de ligações setoriais, campo de influência, sinergia e decomposição estrutural. O período entre 1990 a 2003, escolhido para análise, se justifica por compreender uma fase ímpar experimentada pela economia nacional por meio do processo de abertura ao comércio internacional além de um processo de estabilização monetária duradouro. Os anos 1990 representaram para a economia do país uma fase em que as empresas se viram obrigadas a adotar estratégias de reestruturação com vistas à modernização da produção que acabaram por alterar a estrutura das atividades do setor serviços. Como principais achados da pesquisa cita-se o aumento da influência do setor serviços no restante da economia por meio do estudo de sinergia; o aumento no papel do comércio externo na explicação das mudanças estruturais apresentadas pelo setor serviços; a tendência de terceirização vislumbrado em alguns indicadores com o crescimento dos segmentos de serviços prestados às empresas; a relevância do setor em termos de geração de emprego e renda; seu papel de destaque como setor fornecedor de insumos para o restante da economia; e sua disposição a caminhar no ritmo da modernização tecnológica com o aumento da expressão de segmentos como comunicações e instituições financeiras.
Abstract: The growth of the sector services in Brazil is evident mainly ahead of the changes of habits and customs of the world-wide population in the last few decades. And so on the discussion of the classification, the specification of the sector services spread throughout for questions as its heterogeneity, its dynamics and its problematic of measurement. The present work had for objective to understand the relevance of the sector services in the Brazilian economy not only in the question participation in the job, the income, the external investments and exportations, as well as by means of the interactions that this sector keeps with the remain of the economy. For in such a way the input-product theory was used that allowed the calculation of pointers as multiplying of production, capacity of generation of employment and income, indices of sector linkages, field of influence, synergy and structural decomposition. The period enters 1990 the 2003, chosen for analysis, if it justifies for include an unique phase tried by the national economy by means of the process of opening to the international trade beyond a lasting process of monetary stabilization. Years 1990 had represented for the economy of the country a phase where the companies feel obliged to adopt strategies of reorganization with sights to the modernization of the production that to end up for modifying the structure of the activities of the sector services. As main findings of the research, cite the increase of the influence of the sector services in the remain of the economy by means of the synergy study; the increase in the paper of the external commerce in the explanation of the structural changes presented by the sector services; the trend of growth services glimpsed in some pointers with the growth of the segments of services given to the companies; the relevance of the sector in terms of generation of job and income; its paper of prominence as supplying sector of inputs for the remain of the economy; e its disposal to walk in the rhythm of the technological modernization with the increase of the expression of segments as communications and institutions financial. |
