Resumo: Este estudo analisa as ressonâncias da arquitetura brutalista nos projetos arquitetônicos das Catedrais de Maringá e de Cascavel, que foram realizados respectivamente em 1959 e 1966, pelos arquitetos José Augusto Bellucci e Gustavo Gama Monteiro. Esses profissionais mudaram o cenário das referidas cidades, aportando uma visão contemporânea da arquitetura. Com base na circulação de ideias e na difusão da arquitetura e tratando de um estudo de caso, este trabalho apresenta um panorama da arquitetura brutalista e suas ressonâncias no oeste e norte do Paraná, por meio dessas duas edificações
Abstract: This study analyze the resonances of brutalist architecture in the architectural designs of the Maringa´s and Cascavel´s Cathedrals, which were built in 1959 and 1966 respectively, by the architects José Augusto Bellucci and Gustavo Gama Monteiro. These professionals have changed the scenery in those cities, bringing a contemporary vision of architecture.
