Abstract
Abstract: The research is consisted of a structural survey of forest fragments, analysis of geographical aspects and identification of tree species, in order to evaluate the successional stage of the arboreal vegetation in the areas of Permanent Preservation - APP and Legal Reserve - RL of the basin Ribeirão Dríades, the cities of Astorga and Pitangueiras, Paraná, with an area of approximately 68.5 km2. Taking the Legal Reserve of Jaboticabal Farm as the main reference, located in the city of Astorga, since this is a forest fragment which features larger and better storage conditions, and may be the closest to the terminal and self-perpetuating stabilized system known as climax, representing an important element in the maintenance and recovery of local flora and fauna. The data was carried out in this research was done in parts pre-established by satellite image and according to the location and geographical features, represented in geoecologic profile, which it was taken into account the position of the forest fragments being area between areas, average slope and the valley bottoms along the basin. The occupation history of the area and the current storage conditions of it, were analyzed by satellite images on the temporal evolution of vegetation cover and land use (1983, 1993, 2003, 2013). The analysis of land use in the basin Ribeirão Dríades enabled to understand the changes, evolution positive or dwindling forest fragments within the last three decades showed the relation between the existence of the forest fragments and the farming activities, since in the decades of 1980 and 1990 the usage for pasture and permanent crops were prevalent and the amount of forest fragments distributed along the basin were in greater quantity, agricultural activities that could be developed without such fragments configure as obstacles to the development of production. On the other hand it was also possible to observe that from the increase of temporary activities, as crops of sugarcane, soybeans, corn, among others, there has been a decrease in quantity of forest fragments, dramatically reducing the connection between these fragments, since the isolation has increased. In order to characterize the isolation between the forest fragments it was used the approach of biodiversity corridors, which is applied to integrate the different scales of environmental protection, from local to regional and that suggest varied ways of using the space and the management of these resources. forest products, drastically reducing the connection between these fragments, since the isolation has increased. In addition to predicting rational ways of avoiding harmful actions on the landscape, such as the green house effect, the invasion and proliferation of exotic species in the natural environment and habitat alteration. Facing the current conditions of the Parana forest remnants, specifically in the northern region of the state, it is very important to have real notion of natural conditions, taking in account in a systemic way all the elements that can contribute to a better recovery of the native flora and fauna of the region. In this context, the changes caused mainly by way of occupation and land use, in the past as well as in the present, the forest formations identified were decharacterized, presenting a few arboreal species in climax forest formation of Seasonal Semideciduous Forest and the geographical features, climate, soil, hydrograph, are seen, as very responsible for persistence and recovery of distributed forest fragments in the basin Ribeirão Dríades.
